Hunter
1997 16'1hh Bay Gelding

Hunter has actually been retired for almost 6 years but well cared by his past owners who decided to give him a new lease on life as a saddle horse. He is very calm to handle and was a dream to float home to Bredbo - even after he had been on the transport truck for almost 9 hours.
This boy is a lovely heavy hunter type and if I can get him to work in a frame will be perfect as a low level Show/Dressage/Jumpng horse for some lucky person.

I really like the style of this boy - he reminds me a lot of my old horse Marty. He impressed me by jumping across the railway the other day (a spread about 5'6 wide and 2ft deep!) with great ease and with a lovely round body position (bascule). He is happy to work with you but obviously had no idea what I wanted on the lunge. Although his front action is very straight and free he is quite stiff in the rear and will benifit from a Chiro treatment before we do much more. He is very calm and easy to handle though - he past trainer told me that he has actually been ridden used to be ridden on the beach and on trails while he was racing. I am sure he will pick up the skills he needs quickly and am looking forward to seeing what he can do in the arena.
