Standardbreds Unharnessed Inc
is a Canberra/Monaro based Standardbred Riding Club
Aim
Basically we want to create a fun, social, non-competitive environment to enjoy and promote the breed. It will also be a place for Standardbred owners to meet, talk and offer support and advice.
What we will be doing
We are looking at doing club activities a minimum of 6 times a year more if members want to. These will include trail riding, training days and fun gymkhana days. As the club develops we will be looking for ideas from members as to the type of actives they want to do.
Membership
Membership will be open to anyone who owns a Standardbred or has an interest in promoting the breed. The club will be based in the Canberra/Monaro area but will welcome Standardbred Owners from anywhere in NSW.
The club will be affiliated with ATHRA (Australian Trail Horse Riding Association) so members will be covered by a $10 million Public and Property liability policy when they ride with the club. This will cover not only trail riding activates but also any other training days or fun days the club has. In addition to the insurance benefits ATHRA membership means you can ride with any other ATHRA clubs in Australia. For more information about ATHRA and a list of NSW clubs visit the website -
Membership fees
Riding adult $70
Riding junior member (under 16) $45
Associate riding member (you must be a member of another ATHRA club) $20
